Camino Day Three- Zubiri to Pamploma (14.8 Miles)

It was a very long day today even though we got to Pamplona in 6 hours at 1:30. We bid farewell to Zubiri at 7:35 after a nice breakfast, and pounded our feet on the track towards Pamplona. We went through many towns, walked beside the lovely Arga River, saw several churches (most we cannot enter) and met many fellow pilgrims.

When we got to Trinidad de Arre, we walked city streets for an hour and a half until we made Pamplona, one of the largest cities on the Camino. We entered the city by the bullfighting ring. John was excited about seeing the streets where the bulls run through town and the haunts of Ernest Hemingway.

We walked around town and had a lovely dinner before making our way back to the hotel to rest up for our 13 mile walk tomorrow to Puente La Reina. Hope the feet hold up-so far we’re good!
